	Vom KIRCHENWALD SHEPHERDS is guided by the World Standard for Breed Worthiness in the German Shepherd Dog. The parents of our puppies have proven that they are animals worthy to be bred.  They meet the following criteria: · Hip and elbow certification. · Completed a 12 mile endurance test (AD). · Passed a Companion Dog (BH) obedience and temperament test. · Achieved a minimum working certification of a Schutzhund 1 title.  · Have received a minimum conformation rating of Excellent ("V"). · Breed Surveyed in Class 1 by a licensed German Breed Warden. At Kirchenwald, we stress the power of our Mother lines.  We began the program ten years ago with three foundation females.  Today, our breeding females all stem from two of those original foundation bitches:  VA-Brenda v. Messebau, SchH 2 (who lived past her 15^th birthday!) and V-Meika v. Isidora, SchH 2 (who lived happily past age 13). This emphasis on consistent Mother lines gives us deep knowledge of our genetic strengths and weaknesses.
